0040 The Virgin Birth

We bounce through the entire Bible from cover to cover to examine the topic known as The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ.  Why was He born in this way?  Was this just an impressive display of God’s power or is there a deeper truth afoot?  Open your Bibles to Luke 1 and let’s find out.

0039 John the Baptist's birth

Today, in semi rapid-fire style, we examine the second half of Luke chapter 1 by covering verses 39 through 80.  Yes … a lot of verses, but they tell us of Mary’s interaction with Elizabeth and John the Baptist’s birth where his father Zacharias miraculously receives back his voice.  This will lay the groundwork for further discussions following this episode.

0038 Two Prophetical Births

Today we pick up our pace through this first chapter of Luke and examine two births prophesied by the angel Gabriel.  Those two births concern John the Baptist and our Lord Jesus Christ. 

0037 Zacharias and Elizabeth

We progress forward with our introductory remarks concerning the book of Luke, and then proceed to discuss John the Baptist’s parents:  Zacharias and Elizabeth.  This is, I’m sure, very familiar scripture so we will examine several cross references and topics throughout the word of God to provide further context and understanding to the beginning verses of this Gospel.

0035 Daniel Final Notes

Today we conclude our study of Daniel by discussing two final topics: 

#1 - The idea that the Antichrist could be Jewish, and in fact from the tribe of Dan. 

Then, lastly #2 - The promise of Israel’s deliverance.  So, open your Bibles one more time to the book of Daniel.

0034 The Tribulation

The final chapter of Daniel, and just like all the previous chapters, this thing is loaded.  Previously we discussed all the events leading up to the AntiChrist and now it’s time to talk about the Tribulation Period (which is the final 70^th week of the Daniel 9 prophesy).  There indeed is a lot here, and you may benefit from looking at a visual graph, similar to what was depicted in the classroom during today’s lesson.  That graph can be found on the website:  www.TheUnsearchableRiches.podbean.com.  

0033 The Antichrist

Up to this point in chapter 11 of Daniel, we have discussed the detailed history that pictures the Antichrist himself.  Now it’s time to talk about him and the days to come.  This portion of scripture will lead us right into our final discussion regarding the Tribulation Period of chapter 12.  Open your Bibles to Daniel 11 and prepare to conclude this chapter.

0032 Antiochus Epiphanes

A lot of history has unfolded for us within the first 20 verses of chapter 11, and the scripture still has a lot more information to provide.  We have reached the verses regarding the person who pictures the Antichrist who is to come.  That person is Antiochus Epiphanes.  Turn to Daniel 11 and let’s continue through this chapter.

0031 Daniel 11 Part 2

0030 Daniel 11 Part 1

Throughout our study of Daniel, you might have wondered about the historical “gaps” or “spaces of time” that have seemingly been jumped between the Babylonian captivity and Christ’s 1^st coming.  Furthermore, you might have additional questions concerning the Tribulation period.  Well, this chapter, as well as chapter 12, fills in those gaps and hopefully will answer your questions.

0026 Seventy Weeks Part 1

We begin to discuss in detail the 70 week prophecy found in the last 4 verses of chapter 9.  If you thought the 2300-day prophecy back in chapter 8 was phenomenal just wait until we’ve fully discussed this one … It indeed holds some grand truths pertaining to Israel.  I originally thought we could get through everything in one episode, but that proved to be too lofty a goal so our discussions will need to encompass two episodes before we conclude this chapter.

0025 Study and Prayer

Daniel’s Bible study leads him to fervent prayer (James 5:16).  We see his heart opened to God, and God responds with giving Daniel skill and understanding in a vision that details the timeline for the 2^nd coming of Christ.  The vision is on our next episode’s agenda, so right now let’s examine this prayer of Daniel.

0024 The Little Horn

The verses in this chapter that discuss the little horn have a dual meaning.  It speaks of a king who would arise out of one of the 4 kingdoms of Grecia after Alexander the Great’s untimely demise, but also provides us with a picture of the antichrist during the Tribulation Period.

0023 The Ram and Goat

We begin the prophetical chapter that has caused many “scholars” (both past and present) to cringe in disbelief.  The prophecies here are so historically accurate that many can’t or just simply refuse to accept that they were penned hundreds of years in advance to the events unfolding.  

0022 The End

We narrow our focus to the 4^th beast in Daniel’s dream and discuss its interpretation.  Only a handful of verses stand between us and the end of this 7^th chapter, but man-o-man these verses are jampacked.

0021 The 4 Beasts

We revisit the same portions of scripture from the previous lesson and discuss more information concerning the 4 Beasts in Daniel’s dream.  We will compare scripture with scripture by examining cross-reference passages throughout God’s word to further understand this grand chapter.
